Activating background knowledge helps children make connections with new material and increases their comprehension for success. Teachers guide instruction by showing them how to use the information they have acquired. Students will be able to determine importance, prioritize the information they receive. Helping them tune in to Visualizing, Questioning, Evaluating and Summarizing. Some Core Values that result are being mindful of a task, thinking critically about the process needed to form an inquiry, generate an outcome, perseverance to see it through and resilience to try again if it fails.
